service manual
anyone know where to get a factory service manual for a 97 850r? i called volvo and they said it is 75 separate publications and would cost me $4000!!!!! i saw some dvd's on ebay but they seemed like they may be a scam. i would just like a comprehensive manual, not a chilton/haynes. thanks. aaron

This is specific for a '95 but it is about 99% accurate with your '97.

I agree with Ozark Lee.
If the DVDs are VADIS they are not a scam but they are not a comprehensive manual. They are what Volvo dealers used up to 2005 and do carry quite a lot of repairs/replacements for your model and year.
If you consider buying then check eBay UK as the prices are way lower than the US site.
