Default Side Mirror Glass Install: How? (Tech, must see)

So I got my side mirror today, and right now i'm not completely sure how to install it. It has the black plastic backing and it has a bunch of clips. I assume, I should use a screwdriver and pry the old one out? If anyone knows how, that'd be great. I surely wouldn't want to mess anything up.

Now for the UPDATE, for Tech especially. I got my mirror from eEuroParts and .........It's got the lines for "aspherical mirrors" aka no blindspot mirrors!!

For me, it was 5 bucks more than Ebay (39.90) and because the order was over 39 bucks, it was free shipping.

Once I get this installed, if these mirrors do as they're advertised.

Edit: Maybe I've had a bad day (had to shovel my car out this morning because my car can't get up my driveway.. (waiting on a snowblower)) but this discovery seriously made my day.

Ok, getting the mirror off is simply a matter of pull and pry...However, How do I get the clips off the heating units? They don't seem to want to come off...

I assume the wires are what you are talking about?

They should pull off with a little bit of force.
Sometimes they are a pain in the A**.

Alright, futher updates. I did the clips using a pliers and just kind of wiggled it and eventually the clips slipped off.

With my new mirrors on, I HAD to take a test drive so I went out and purposely drove really really slow os people would pass me.

I will say, the mirrors are definetely very very nice. I watched a car drive past me, and I could follow the car all the way until it got to my cars halfway point (the drivers seat). But by the time your mirror loses the guy, if you just turn your head a little bit, you'll see the car.

Definetely a great safety addition, and I don't know why US manufacteurers don't use these (or Congress doesn't mandate it).

I probably won't be buying passenger side ones (more expensive ($50 or 60), and I don't want to spend the money), but if any of you guys have 40 bucks laying around, I would definetely recommend getting them (especially if you're older, because you don't have to turn your head/as much).

But now on a change of topics. It seems as though my drivers side motor might be going out...When I press on the glass, the mirror moves around very easily, and I can hear the motor running, but the mirrors not really moving until it finally "catches". I pressed on my passenger side mirror and it was firm.

Anyone got a clue as to what the problem w/ my passenger side is? But with this discovery, now i'm almost 100% sure someone smashed my mirror. [:@][:@]

Yeah, they were a major pain to get off but I got em off w/ the pliers.

Bad thing is though, I didn't get the wire completely hidden and now there's a little piece of wire that keeps trying to get out of from the edge of the mirror to the side mirror itself.

Look in with a flashlight and see if one of the motor parts poped loose.
Try using a small screwdriver to tuck and hide the wire behind the other.

Oh, and more mirror stuff.

The blindspot part doesn't get smaller, like the ones you can buy at auto stores. However, because of the shape, the cars kind of curve out and the car looks like it's a couple feet to your side, when in actuallity it might not be. I'll try to take pics once I get my hands on a camera...
