Hey i have a 1996 850 platinum i recently installed an amp from a 2000 s70 and deck from a 1999 v70 r. The problem is that after i installed evrything it worked perfectly then out of no where two rear most speakers died. As I am pretty sure the amp is the cause can anyone tell me if the amp has internal fusing or how many channels the amp has? Also possibly what the wire colours for the two rear most speakers are?

 

I'm not sure but if you simply disconnect the amp the R stereo should sound just as good without it.

 

No the stereo won't work with out the amp I originally thought that since they have the same plugs but nothing works on deck without amp

 

I just pulled an amp from a jy car and the harness was plugged into the amp then from the amp into the radio. Maybe you need to make sure it's hooked up right. These radio's work well without the amps plugged in.

 

All is plugged in and the deck is the three cd changer in dash it does not work in my 850 without amp

 

Without my amp pluged in radio does not work.

 

are you replying to a zombie thread or starting a new discussion on your issue? When you say radio does not work do you mean no sound or no power to the head unit?

ok so the first thing is to make sure you haven't blown a fuse to the power amp. next is I'd check for wiring/connector issues. Usually the amp is switched on by the head unit so you need to make sure the amp is getting that signal.
