RE: Sway bar end links
I hope you bought QBM's Extreme Endlinks.
Even though I am sure your son isn't into the performance side of Volvo's. These endlinks are muc beefier then the OEM ones and can be adjusted as well.
I don't know the specs. You may want to pick up a HAYNES manual and see if they say.
TECH should know though.

Thanks JPN, that is what I needed
S70 Driver - actually my son is getting into the performance aspect of Volvos a bit. We are both constantly impressed at the power and handling that the cars bring to the table, even by todays standards. So, yes...he actually ponied up for the QBM links.

RE: Sway bar end links
All,
I installed the sway bar links this afternoon. It took about 45 minutes total, but it was well worth it. The old links looked to be the original ones the car came from the factory with, and the car has 175K on it!.[]
Anyway, changing the links made a WORLD of difference. The car is MUCH quieter going over bumps and rides and steers a lot smoother.
If you are onthe fence about changing the sway bar links on your car, get off the fence and do it!!

Hi Glenn,
I too, noticed an improvement when I did my link rods. I went with Hamburg Technik (German), rather than genuine Volvo or those beefed-up ones, as this Volvo is not actually mine (my boss's cousin's and I was renting it. Now boss gave me Suzuki Forenza instead, which is actually Kxxxn Dxewxx OEM, I hate every part of this car and miss driving 850).
Anyway, I didn't think those thin rods would make much difference, but after I did them, I noticed that the steering felt definitely sharper. The rubber boots on the original rods were torn.
Good day,
JPN

RE: Sway bar end links
Well i just installed new OEM endlinks.
I first started to change my brake pads(not pictured) then i realized, "I dont have that special tool to remove the caliper!" So then i proceeded to change my spark plug wires(which had a stamp saying -92- meaning 1992 [:@]) and spark plugs. Right after that I searched my garage for that piece but couldn't find it with the mountain of Honda parts in my garage. [8D]
After debating what to do, i took my Volvo to my shop and they told me i also needed sway bar bushings because even with my own inspection it looked like i needed them. 40 mins later everything is done and guess what? NO MORE CLUNKING!!! i'll install the bushing some other time. I dont think i need them now!
just wanted to share my experience.
