Tail Gate Dome Light Question

Tail Gate Dome Light Question
Hi,
I have a question about the tail gate dome light in my 1994 850 Wagon.
The dome light does not come on when the tail gate is raised.
With a volt meter, I confirmed that 12V is getting to the bulb and the bulb is good.
Where is the Contact Switch that should turn on the light (ground) when the tailgate is opened?
I do not see any Contact Switches around the tailgate or in the latch assembly.
Not sure if it is related but my rear window washer motor does not spray any fluid.
Thanks,
-Kevin

Tail Gate Dome Light Question
I pulled out the dome light and used a volt meter to confirmed all is working in the lamp. The bulb is good, the switch in the lamp assembly is closed and I measure 12 Volts.
The wiring diagram for a 1995 shows a separate Tailgate Switch that goes to a ground. I can not find this switch.
Thanks,
-Kevin

On the left D-pillar under the cover for the loudspeaker is a 14pole connector (black).
When the tailgate is open the cable on position 13 (blue-brown) should be grounded.
The "ground" is delivered from position 10 (black).
Maybe it's just a broken cable at the hinge.
Check with the multimeter / ohmmeter that black is ground, then check if position 13 is grounded when the tailgate is open.
