Question TALL driver question

Hi,
I actually posted this question in another forum over a week ago but never received a reply. Trying again here so please help me out if you can... Here is my question: In my pursuit of an older school Volvo, I was advised against a 240 and the 700 series (due to my height - 6' 5" with long legs and torso) and instead pointed toward an 850 instead, which I really like based on my research. I then caught a glimpse of the 940 which I really like too. I know that both have their differences in drivetrains, one car being more boxy then the other etc.. but I'm most interested in interior room so, please, tell me which of these cars has more interior room for a tall driver? Any tall drivers here with direct experience? I'm not really interested in any models after 850... BTW, I'd like to get the nicer leather seats but I'm concerned about the inclusion of the sun-roof - will that significantly reduce headroom or not? Much thanks for any replies.

Best thing I can suggest is go sit in a 940 and in an 850 and make yourself comfortable. I'm 6 foot tall and when I set the seat on my 850, I slide it all the way back and set the seat back fairly erect. on my VW CC, if I slide the seat all the way back I feel like I can barely reach the pedals... With that said, I am convinced the 850 has some of the most comfortable seats ever. My 850 is a Turbo model with power seats/leather that has a 3 position memory (great feature) - I keep two for myself one for local driving that's upright and another for long drives where I can slouch. Since the seat is a 3 way (forward/back, up/down and seat back rake, you should be able to find a comfortable position even with your length (hey I know there are a lot of tall swedes!).

Alright, thanks very much for your quick reply. I'll do as you recommend and try to find a couple of these models locally and try 'em out for myself. Thanks again.
