I am looking to put a 225/45 tire onto a 17 x 7.5 OEM wheel rather than a 215/45 and have been told by the salesman that the slight change in diameter will throw off the ABS brakes from working as they should. Is this correct. Thank you, Peter

I'm not so sure about that I would'nt think so. But I have a 850 wagon 1994 and I just put 17' rims and 225/45 tires on my wagon and the front is rubbing. The Back is not. I hope that helps.

no it will not. your gearing for spedometer will be a TAD off (like you will be going 62 when it reads 60) but that is it

There is a great tire diameter analysis program to find equivalent tire sizes:</P>
