I installed a used trans into my 94 850 na. Started fine drove it around the block shifted fine. It sat for a few days had it cleaned drove ok. Parked it again when I went back out to move it it would not go into any gear. The trans light is flashing 313 code faulty pnp position. My question is will a bad pnp cause it not to go into any gear and not move at all???? The fluid is full and the linkage is hooked up and working. any help is appreciated.

 

Hopefully you just need to adjust your PNP switch (which may be likely since you just had all that apart). And yes, if adjustment is far enough off, could cause your symptoms.

Figured it out. Put back in the original pnp switch and all works now.

 

I put the switch back in and I thought it was fixed. It drove fine. I parked it for about five days. went back out started it and did the same thing will not go into any gear? Any thoughts on bad pnp switch again?
