Default Trouble code 123

Recently changed my radiator fan along with coolant temp sensor. Now the fan comes on whenever I start the car or the ignition key is in position ii. Also, it stays for for like 2 mins when I turn off the car.
This morning it started having a rough idle and I pulled a 2-1-2 code. Please help

What year is your car? Which socket produced the 2-1-2 code? 2-1-2 could mean, "2-1-2 Solenoid S2 circuit shorted to 12 volts" which could be a transmission trouble code OR "2-1-2 heated oxygen Sensor Signal absent or faulty" which is a Motronic 4.3 fuel management trouble code. More info is needed...

Thanks,
Greg

My n/a does exactly what you described when the coolant temp sensor is disconnected. Does your temp gauge read anything as the car war ms up?

The gauge seems to work fine. However, there is a rough idle now and I want to think that it's the O2 Sensor

212 (as you know) is front O2 sensor but I would reset it at least once to make sure it comes back on before replacing w/OEM part.

Don't see how it could be related to your fan issue; possibly sticky pwr relay?
