turbo control valve
hello my car has a MBC intalled by the previous owner I wuld like to remove it and reinstalled the original controll valve.but i do not know what line goes on what nipple if somebody can help me that wuld be great thanks.
because i dont have a boost gauge inatallen in the car yet. I notice that the stock boost gauge gose up more than i think it shuld every now and then i hit overboost i tried to lower the pressure all the way on the MBC but the boost still climbs pretty high.Dont get me wrong i love it and all the way the tires brake loose around 30mphis verry nicebut i rather be safe than sorry
Just as long as you are using91 octane or higher (higher octane = ability to runhigher boost), anddont hear any ping or your knock senor isnt going off, you should be fine.
If you want to play it safe, then just lossen it all the way, so it will not be in use. The turbo has a wastegate actuator so it will be at its stock level (~8psi)

yes is loose all the way.and every now and then i hit fuelcut (overboost) It might be a cheap controller (it looks cheap) I loosend it all the way till the **** came off.
On the hood unless it was replaced on a white sticker is the diagram to hook it back up to OEM.
Also maybe someone has it hooked up wrong.
Make sure the hose coming off the compressor goes to the in on the MBC then the out goes to the waste gate.

The hoses should have a color on it and the valve should have colored dots on it.
If you cannot see that I will try to look at my diagram then tell you where they need to be.
My valve is not connected but I will be able to tell you how they go.
