You can continue on the same thread you just started, no need for a new one. Just sayin'. Anyways, before I would search for a rebuild kit for just a 15G, since you would then need to pay someone to balance it, just search for a used 15G. They're super cheap, usually around 125, give or take. And I'm pulling parts off of my wagon this weekend, if my 15G is in good shape and doesn't need a rebuild, I'll sell it to you for a really reasonable price.

15G for $180

16T for 125 plus s/h, just use your exhaust housing

There's two options right there. Look into rebuild kits by all means, I'm just saying that I'm not sure how much it costs to have it balanced and what not, just another alternative.

How bad is your turbo? Did you take it out and check for shaft play?

I second gilbers' thoughts on the importance of balancing. At full boost a turbine can spin up to 180,000 rpms. At that speed, just the slightest bit out of balance and it can self destruct.

Thumbs up

Just found this great write up. I think he has a solution to the rebalancing thing. Any comments???? When I get my turbo I'm thinking of using this same procedure.
