Undo or Redo heater hoses?
Hello all !
I am a novice DIYer. I have a '97 855 that I just replaced the heater core in , myself. The hoses had been bypassing the heater core & I hoped to fix them myself, but I can't tell where they are coming from exactly but I can tell they are short.

The hose that goes into the top hole attaches to the motor, under the distributor.
The hose that goes into the bottom home attaches to a small metal pipe at the back of the motor, right next to where the bottom radiator hose attaches to the motor.
Hope this helps.

After disconnecting the bypass (why always AFTER lol?) I noticed the lower input/output on the coupler had no connector . PLEASE don't tell me I have to replace the whole coupler on the firewall? And yes I know how much rust I need to clean off to use the existing parts. I really will happily replace the hoses & connectors later when it stays below 90 degrees on a day off but because I want to buy the OEM parts I need to recover from all the other repairs for a few weeks as well. So is it bypassing again for awhile or can I fix the coupler without replacing it?
Thank you very much!
