Default Very Little Heat - 96 850 GLT Wagon.......

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a Happy and Safe Holiday. Well I have a 1996 850 GLT Wagon, and for some reason even when the car is fully warmed up and the temperature is on high, it only blows warm not hot. I thought maybe it could be the thermostat, so I replaced it, and no difference! I really don't know what to check next, it has antifreeze. Well if anyone can give me some suggestions on what it may be, I would really appreciate it. Thank you and have a great New Year, Nelson.

It could be that the damper/air mixing door is out of adjustment. Could also be that the heater core is blocked. Do you have the air mix **** by the center dash vents all the way to the top? IF not it will let in a lot of cold (but fresh) air

Ok then maybe one of the motors are bad. Is the air the same temp for both sides?

It is odd that both motor would be bad.
Check the hoses where they attach to the firewall and make sure both of them are hot.

Well... I finally found the time to look at the car good, and it turns out that the overflow container was clogged with what looked like mud, the hose that runs underneath was also clogged. So I disconnected both of them and wash them both like new...lol. I replaced them and she's better then she was before this happened, now that's great heat!!! I would like to thank those of you who replied, it's good to know I have a good place to go if I ever need help, THANKS!!!

I was late for the party.

I would also consider replacing the coolant with fresh 50:50 mix, unless already been replaced.

Happy New Year,

JPN
