A scan maybe? usually we do a fuel injection / induction service, cleans the intake, the injectors, and throttle. other than that......

chadman551 06-19-2010 09:31 PM

okay thanks

have you tried your air idle sensor? i would try cleaning that is a turbo or N/A

chadman551 06-19-2010 09:41 PM

okay, where is the location of the air idle sensor and it is a turbo

91shelby 06-19-2010 09:56 PM

right in front of the throttle body, there is the bosch unit that has a hose coming from the Intercooler piping and on the other end a hose going into the intake which controls the amount of air going thru for the idle

+1 to what shelby suggested; clean the idle air control valve.

BTW: what exactly do you mean by rough idle? Does the rpm go up and down, cycle? Or does it sound like it's running rich/lean/missing?

How's it run when you when you accelerate?

Getting any codes?

Also check the spark plugs to make sure they're clean and for proper gap.

Make sure the wires & cap are good, too.

it will probably be your air flow meter i had the same problem with mine.Unplug your air flow meter and it wont idle as normal but when u plug it back in it will go to cut out again if this happens its definetly your air flow meter.Hope this helps.
