A few people have modified the Volvo SC series radios to connect MP3 players to them through the use of a head phone cord. It doesn't allow you to control the MP3 player with the radio, but it sure gives you great sound and unlimited music play with your phone, etc.

Before you do the mod, make sure the CORD you plan to plug into your MP3 player, phone, etc., works with your device. If you do not have any solder skills, you may want to have someone else do that part of your mod.

 

A better choice for desoldering would be some desoldering braid. It's inexpensive, and you can get it any number of places, including Radio Shack.

I use professional grade rework equipment in repairing and restoring coin op pinball machines as a small business. I use vacuum rework stations to replace components, but the desoldering braid is cheap and works pretty well for most people.

 

Wow, that is cheep. I often use a small squeeze ball and vacuum the soldier away.

Do you know the car dvd player ? i suggest that a car dvd player is better.it includes the ipod ,mp3.CD.BT, ,Audi Digital TV and gps navigation.etc. i had install one from happyshoppinglife the last month. i like it and enjoy it . your guys can think about installing one in your car.it will make you surprised..
