Default What a water pump shouldn't look like

Been meaning to post this, but this is what my pump looked like at 224xxx miles. Not sure how many miles were on it but it is an Aisin. Im thinking it could be original because the other parts were not nearly as worn

Was it leaking? It was time for a change.

I change mine every 10 years regardless of the miles.

I only got 28,000miles on mine before it failed. Genuine part.

I just replaced my factory water pump with just under 90k miles due to a leak. I'm praying I don't have this issue on the new OEM water pump I just installed.

that was really surprising, to me, to see an OEM part fail so quickly. I've read about people who said they never replaced the factory pump well over 200k
