getting ready to 'personalize' my 850 turbo. wondering the width of the stock 15" wheels. will probably stick with the 15s since i am not a big fan of rubber band tires but might go up an inch in width. plus i just recently bought a couple of new tires for the 15s!
anyway, out of curiosity, what is the width of the stock 16s, too. seem like they were on the Rs... i think they were the 5 blade fan type.
I do like exposed lugs and MIGHT be able to find a set of later model take-offs, including tires, locally -- even up to 08-09 models. what years of 850s, v's and c's would bolt on to my stock 94 850 turbo?
incidentally, i was told by one long time employee of the dealer where mine was sold new that he thought it originally came with the fan wheels but the old woman who bought it didnt like the ride and had them changed to the more basic ones....not sure of the truth or his memory but like 5-spoke wheels without twisted spokes or blades..
right now i am looking hard at the ronals, especially because of cost!!! LOL

94 850 Turbos came with 16" wheels called Columbas. They looked kind of like a five spoke fan. I believe they are 7" wide but not certain. The R's came with 17" wheels. The 95 had five spoke wheels called Titans and the 96 and 97 came with seven spoke wheels called Volans. You see Volans in my signature on the white car. I run 15" wheels on my white car now and have the 17's on my yellow car. I have 15's on the V70 also. The ride is much smoother with 15's, but the handling is way better with the 17's.
