Hi all -
I have a 1994 850 wagon and I'm trying to replace interior bulbs, instrument cluster bulbs etc..
I have been able to get, and replace, them all except the following:
The transmission shifter (the cig lighter is the same type of assembly) and the 2 that go in the heater/climate control switch area. The Volvo dealer closest to me wants $18.48 each for the shifter and cig lighter bulbs, and $17.51 each for the heater switch bulbs. They are all socket and bulb assembly, you can't just replace the bulb itself.
Anyone know where I can get these items online? I hate paying dealer price for them, but afraid I might have to if I can't locate them elsewhere. I found the instrument cluster bulbs at a local mom/pop auto parts place for .50 cents each!

The only thing I could suggest is try to find an auto parts store that specializes in VW parts.They might have them VW and Volvo are similiar on electrical items.

 

thanks for the reply........I ended up finding them here for fairly cheap, at least the shifter bulbs. Now to find the heater switch bulbs and a window motor and I'll be good.

Found a window motor and gearbox today at a pull-a-part place....$14.20
works perfect!
Wasn't much else left on the car though.

I've looked everywhere for the climate control **** bulbs, but can't find them anywhere.
Anybody comes across them, please let me know.

Have you tried Radio Shack?

 

I ended up finding everything at a local Atlanta Volvo repair shop....he had the shifter bulbs for $7.50 and the other ones for $2.50........

I'll get the receipt and post the part numbers later, if anyone is interested.
