Turn Signal Shifter is Non-Reponsive....Not the shifter.
Hi there! I have a 2000 Volvo S80-T6. This happened once last year, but the turn-signals have became none responsive as I turn them on moving the column shifter up or down, as usual. The control on that column shifter to select your "messages" is also non-responsive. I know this is not a faulty shifter, as when this problem occurred last year, I took into a Volvo shop (Hurless Bros.) and they simply "reset" it within 5 minutes and it worked fine for months....until today.
Without paying to go to a shop again and having them plug in their diagnostics computer, is there a way for me to "reset" this at home, by myself? The first time this happened, I checked EVERY single fuse and for loose connections, and that wasn't the problem. The turn signals were working just fine one minute, then the next minute after changing lanes, the message selector and turn-signals were non-responsive again, just like the last time this happened.
Thanks so much.
