Default where do I buy a 850 parts manual?

I have looked at multiple sites, some of which scam, and others, but have not found a site which has a copy of the 850 and 960 parts manuals for sale or download.

I noticed that you can download a copy of the 850 manual from the UK Volvo site, but you must first spend $ 67.00 to become a member of the Volvo UK Owner's club.

And I don't know how complete that it.

I have seen VIDA discs, in fact I have one set, that does not work well and doesn't readily permit me to create a parts manual for use in wrenching or just understanding how the Volvos are assembled, especially the 850 and 960 models.

Maybe I've been spoiled by other companies, but this seems to be a lot harder than expected. Plus making sure you have the right part for your car is easier with a manual and parts numbers.

Thanks!

I have done a few things.

1. I use sites like Smith Volvo for diagrams and OEM part numbers
2. You can find some PDFs for Haynes or similar manuals. I find them useful for torque specs and capacities
3. I research Youtube and forums for specific repair task write ups.
4. I keep a list of bookmarks for useful sites like Volvotips.com and volvowiringdiagrams.com as well as other forums and parts vendors. I've been thinking of refreshing a sticky with Volvo friendly links.

Short of the uber-complex jobs like rebuilding a transmission etc, I've been able to research just about every repair common to 850s. My repair list is now down to two items - new sway bar bushings (I have 25mm IPD bars ) - the IPD site has a PDF on how to... and to fix a heater core (some Robert DIY posts and Youtube...).
