Default Where was your car.. Built?

Did you guys know there the only Volvo production Plant ever on this continent was in Nova Scotia, Canada. they assembled from pre made kits from sweden v/s70 940/960 740.... ect (all the way back to 1963) and 850's in very low numbers.

The 11th digit of your VIN is the plant it was produced in, considering my cars an 850 AWD and there was never any in the states I figured it may have been made in Canada, i was wrong

it was a 2 = Ghent, Belgium ( where i think most 850's were made)
i checked my brothers 96 850 10 Valve low and behold it was a 3
3 = Clayton Park Nova Scotia (Bayer’s Lake)
so i figured that since the 850 10 valve is a low production model and bayers lake built 850's in low numbers....
supposidly they had a "built in canada" sticker in the rear window, his does not, but it is a 15 year old car..
I'm also wondering if any of them ever made it outside canada.
Let's see your 11th digit of your VIN!

Is that the last number on the vin? If it is it's a 2, otherwise if I count the digits and skip over the letters it's a 4. As you can see I'm quite lost on this vin thing. :S

Same here.. a 1.

On a WEIRD side note, after doing some searching on Torslanda, Sweden I came across this;
"Elizabeth Stride, née Elisabeth Gustafsdotter — believed to have been the third victim of the notorious unidentified serial killer Jack the Ripper — hailed from Torslanda, and had been christened at the Torslanda Church"

Creepy
