Man, u did a lot of work...... Looks good though! How did you re-do the molding on the car? Mine was a little faded. Nothing bad, but I put armor on them and they end up looking brand new.

I went to Advanced and bought this stuff called Duplicolor bumper coating. It comes in black and gray. I did the wifes in black and my yellow car in gray. I masked off the bumpers and painted them. For the side molding I took them off the car and painted them.
See pic below of the paint and adhesive that I bought.

Ok, cool...... I took my car to a car wash last week and the black paint on the black vertical roofrail peeled off. So now I am going to peel the paint off the other side on my days off and paint them in the garage. I love this car so far, but man the ammount of work that goes with it.

Yeah, agreed! Plus I got this 850 for 2 grand. The paint is PERFECT! It's like a pearl silver. The interior is super CLEAN. The front leather seats have wrinkles and a few thin cracks on the seat bottom but the rest is just short of awesome, esepecially for the age. So I don't mind doing a little work. I have been looking for a clean 850 for 3 years and everytime I found one in town it was either a beater or the leather was gone. I will have to post a few pics on here. The hardest thing right now is keeping with conditioning the leather, which isn't that bad. Once a week and good to go. I also liquid glassed the paint to make sure it stays shiny and protected..

Super job on the wifes car. Really like the progression. Can't wait for my industry to turn around so I can afford to add HID's to my '96 wagon. I like the way the bumbers came out. Far better thant he IPD stuff I used. I still have to do my racks on my wagon. Maybe I will go this route next year as the rains have started already in Oregon.

How about your opinion. On the front spoiler, which way is sugested, buy a spoiler that is a T-5 or cut out the existing holes?

Keep us updated on progress, it inspires!!

Oh hey, forgot to ask. What did you do about the seats? Also, do have a favorite product to protect the leather seats?

I bought the R bumper and put it on with the foglights.
For the seats I had a set of Tan seats given to me and I had them dyed gray then installed them.
No I don't have any favorites for leather stuff. I am actually afraid to use it on the wifes car since the seats are dyed.
My car haven't tried anything yet but need to get something soon.

What is a reasonable price to pay for a R bumber with fogs? And do the factory fogs work well compared to aftermarket like PIAA?

The bumpers are pretty pricey Dealer is like almost $400.00 I think. Sometimes you can find used.
The Foglights are projectors and work really well. You can find them used usually starting at about $100.00 for the pair.
I am actually looking for a set as well for my Yellow car but have to put it off for now due to working issues.

There is a guy parting out an R wagon in the for sale section you might be able to score parts from that car.
I need a bumper for Yellow as well since the 2 foot section of tire messed it up.

As far as leather is concerned, This is what I use on my 850. It's called "Bickmore Bick 4 leather conditioner"..http://www.sheplers.com/mens/shoe_ca...es/069510.htmlI make leather equipment for Horses and Birds of Prey and so I need a leather conditioner that is tough to the elements but softens leather to keep it pliable. This stuff rocks! I swear by it. The first thing I did when I got my 850 home was to buy 2 bottles of Blick and to completey supersaturate the leather. The two front seats were a little stiff and the back seats were super dry.. Now the back seats are like new and the front seats are soft and the leather is pliable. Anyways, that's my 2 cents on that..

Thanks I forget if yours had one or not. I might have a spare one willing to sell but will need the brake light. Of I have an aftermarket one that we were going to try on the 850 but the wife didn't like it.
