Default Wont start??

Ive been having problems with in the last month or so with the so called "Hot NO START" Id turn the car over and it would rev up and as the idle cam down it would stall. (ive posted this problem before) I would try to start again and it would bog like it was flooded. After waiting for 2 to 5 min, it would start no problem. I did some research and found that a faulty RPM Sensor can cause this.

Now today, it did it again, but this time (after 3hr of trying) it will not start. It turns over just fine but will not catch. I drained the fuel rail and tried again, and check to see if there was pressure, there is...so I got fuel. Next I checked for spark, but Im no expert on how much spark I should have..I removed the coil wire from the dist and checked with a screwdriver and I get a little orange spark (something tells me it should be more).

I ran OBII and had no errors, also check the mods and no manual codes present.

Can a bad RPM sensor stop the car from Starting?

Any direction would help as I need my car monday morn for work.

As a second note:

Can the alarm system malfunction and cause this no start. My locking system seem to malfunction twice last week and locked by its self. Is there a start disable in these cars?
if there is, can it be disabled so I can rule it out.

OK, update, I went back to the car and tried something I saw in another post. I removed the spark plug cover and tested to see if spark was making it all the way to the plugs. It was, now I was thinking fuel, But as I said earlier, I tested the rails and fuel was making it. So I tested again and lord and behold, no fuel. So I got my trusty hammer out and tapped the cover (the large one in the back of the wagon) and tested again. Sure enough, fuel came out. Then I tried to start and off she went.

OK, ive looked on FCP and found a few fuel pump items that confuse me. I tapped the large of the two metal covers found in the back, is this the fuel pump its self? Or is it the sending unit. I need to know what to replace.

One last thing, when I removed the plastic cover on the head, I had oil pooling again. I replace the oil cap O-ring a couple of months ago....so what can be causing this pooling of oil?

Thanks in advance.....

Help TECH...pls

the pooling of oil is in your pcv system. it is pushing oil out of that hose that conects up there.

as for the fuel, i have a few thoughts.

1) the sending unit wouldnt cuase a no start
2) are you sure its not ur fuel relay? and it was a fluke on the starting issue?
3) if you are going to buy a new pump get this one

Thanks for the suggestions tony, I will replace the fuel pump relay on Mon, and also the Fuel injection relay to be sure. I know where to find the fuel pump relay, is the fuel injection relay located in the same place?

Ok I found the fuel injection relay on the fan shroud. Is there a way to test to see if this is working? or should I just change both relays and test for a few days.

The starter could just be sticking. Lube it up and it should be fine.
