Default What to do next?

I am working on my '96 brick again, and this time the issue is pretty serious...I have had to let the car set for a couple months due to a lack of time and money but I was able to start up again and discovered that cylinder #5 was full of water, and that the motor seems to be seized up.

Here is my question:

Should I pull off the head and try to break the crank free, or should I just track another motor and drop that in?

Suggestions?

It sounds like a head gasket issue but I think I would start by pulling the spark plugs and getting the water out. Air compresses - water doesn't. I go through this every year when the kids drown the Jet Skis. After it has set that long you may need to break it free with a breaker bar before the starter will pump the water out of the spark plug hole.

If you can do everything that Lee mentioned yourself, go for it. If you need to pay someone to do it, just get a new motor.

I have already pulled the plugs...this is how I found the water in the first place...so it sounds to me like I need to get a bigger bar and break this motor free before I get too carried away.

You can also spray some light oil in the the cylinder(s) a night before putting your muscle power to action.

Some people say PBlaster in there the night before will help.
