Post this in the wanted section, probably get more hits there. And I would check ebay and VS as well, there's always turbos there. Any TD04 turbo will be a bolt on. 15G, 16T, 18t, or 19T.

If you have a 2.3l motor than you should have a 15G, not a 13G.

Honestly, check Volvospeed. There's a few 15 and I believe 1 19 currently for sale.

Well that's what I meant, I couldn't remember the last couple letters. I was hoping nobody would notice and I would still look right, thanks for pointing that out.

If you do have a 13G on your car, that means that you should have the 2.4l engine. If that is the case, I would recommend a 16T for a nice upgrade. I don't think I would put a 19T on the 2.4l engine especially when people are weary to put them on the 2.3l engines.

+1, do not put a 19T on a LPT engine. The outcome would not be good.

Anyway, putting the 16T in there with a T5 ECU would make that one great car.

+1 to him. That would be sweet.

But I still want to clarify, OP said he has a 13G and a 2.3l engine. That doesn't add up. Unless you downgraded your turbo.

Well that's two opposites again. The 2.3l engines are the HPT engines, and the 2.4l engines were the LPT. STOCK 2.3l HPT 15G vs STOCK 2.4l LPT 13G. If your car is an 850 TURBO and not an 850 GLT, then you should have the 2.3l engine and the 15G turbo.

Now if you have a 15G, you can upgrade to the 16T although it's not a huge upgrade, they boost a little bit more. I think with the 15G 15psi is out of efficiency, I think the 16T can run around 17 PSI and still be efficient. You can upgrade to a 19T, but then you have to be careful about your internals. And you would need several supporting mods for a 19T.

Well he has a 15G then that's no upgrade. And you said this is going on a 96 right? If so then you should have a straight flange exhaust housing. There are three types of exhaust housing, straight, angled, and conical, all turbos are bolt up to the exhaust manifold, but you have to make sure you use the same exhaust housing to bolt up to the DP.

No, it's about even. 94-95 they used conical housing, 96-97 they used straight. And then the 98-whenever V70Rs have angled housings. All TD04HL's are bolt ons, you just need the appropriate exhaust housing to bolt up to the DP. If anything, get a turbo and just use your housing. The housings are all interchangeable.
