Default 12 Years of C30 Ownership

Greetings,

This is my first post here on this forum. I should have made this post maybe 12 years ago when I purchased our new little C30. This baby started life back in 2007 as 2008 model. It is C30 T5 Version 2. I has a total of 96K miles on it and was never garage kept. We purchased it back in north Texas and now lives its life in south Florida. It is a cute little car with very few of them on the road. I recently reupholster its roof headliner by myself and few years back with did all its shocks, breaks and timing belt.

I have kept a record of all its costs over 12 years:
  • Purchase cost (lease then purchased): $33,110.13
  • Maintenance $12,093.33
  • Insurance: $9,981,95
  • Registration: $851.40
  • Inspection: $173.50
  • Gas: $13,063.96
For a total of $73,275.27, which would average out as $6,106.27 per year or $508.85 per month.
I am a graphic designer specialized in car graphics and decals. This car have always had some sort of body decal on it and this particular one in the following images was put on it few days ago. I believe this car was designed way over its time and after 12 years it still looks cool and up to date from design point of view. But again, it is wearing off, plastics are meting and I keep replacing small interior and exterior parts.

My question to the forum would be: What car I can replace this with that give a same uniqueness and at the same time is as cool looking and fun to drive as this little hatch back. Your comments are much appreciated.

I guess that is very subjective. I had almost 10 different decals on this car in 12 years. I design, print and install them myself so is easy and cheap for me to do and redo it as many times as I please.

Thanks

Being a minimalist I don't go for any appendages at all.

The first thing I did to my C30 when I bought it was to de-badge it. :-)
