2013 c30 interior cover for taillight
Does anyone have a line on where I can get interior panels and parts for my 2013 C30? Buying a used one and it has a few corrections needed. Passenger side taillight access panel missing and passenger side interior rear panel( to the right of the passenger, where his/her arm would rest) has a small tear. Looking for a good oem website. Any info would be great.
try a dealer webstore. I like to use tascaparts.com as they are local here in New England and have the best prices I've seen on genuine Volvo parts. You can use a dealer parts web store which has diagrams to find the volvo part number then google to see who carries local to your area. For used parts you can also try car-parts.com to search local yards who may have a C30 or try Erie VoVo (a yard who specializes in recycling Volvos)
Thank you very much. I’ve tried my local dealer and they claim no one in the states has one. I also can not seem to find the part number on any of the diagrams. I’ll look into these two options. Thank you very much for the quick response. On a side note... how difficult is it to install coil overs myself.? Will I need a spring compressor? I have the tools and are a little mechanically inclined.
coilovers should be pre-assembled so you shouldn't need a spring compressor. The thing to do for the front is to lift both wheels off the ground so as to remove tension from the sway bar. Also check out Youtube for vids how the bottom of the strut disconnects from the steering knuckle. On an older car like my 850 and Gen1 S40, it was just two bolts - on newer cars the bottom slides into a sleeve that takes a bit more persuading :-) On the rears, the hardest part is probably removing the interior trim bits to gain access to the bolts for the shock mount. Again you want to remove tension from the sway bar (ie caused when one wheel is up and the other is down) to remove the end link if you need the extra drop to get the spring out.
Awesome. Thank you. Ive seen a video where the guy fashioned an Allen wrench to use as the spreader to get that sleeve open on the rear shock mount. Looks pretty straight forward. I’ll hopefully be getting those codes from my dealer today and post as soon as I can to pick you’d brain about my CEL issues. Have a great day!
