For a little background, I recently purchased a 2012 C30 R Design with a 6 speed manual transmission. It was advertised as a “mechanic’s special” and would need a steering rack or power steering pump (or both)…it did not have power steering. That didn’t discourage me since I also mess around with old BMW’s.
While looking at the fuse box, I noticed a hardwire attached between the two terminals of the F2 electrical power steering (EPS) 80A module. Since I’m not a mechanic ( or technician) I don’t know why that wire would be there.
Do any of you have any thoughts on this matter?, any insight would be deeply appreciated
