Default How long can I go between service? Only drove 300 mi last year

Hello everyone. 2012 Volvo c30 owner here. Got the "book maintenance" light tonight. I went about a year ago for a normal service. I see so many debates about 3000 miles and 7500, etc etc, but not much about TIME intervals.

For those who don't drive the car that much, how often should we get it serviced? Once a year? Should I just wait until it's been at least 1,000 miles? For a while it was stored outside, but has for several months been in a climate controlled garage. I make sure to run it every other week or so and give it a little drive. But since I am in a city, that only adds a few miles. Otherwise, I just haven't used it that much!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Volvo recommends yearly. You don't need to get a whole 7500 mile service. Just an oil change to be safe. $50 a year in maintenance costs is nothing.
