Default Issues with feet fitting in foot well?

So I test drove an 2008 c30 t5 (6speed manual) and absolutely loved it! The only thing that kept me from buying it was the fact that my size 14 feet(U.S. also 6'3") kept hitting the bottom of the dash board. This inhibited me from moving my foot from the accelerator to the brake pedal in a quick fashion making it REALLY dangerous to drive. Does anyone else have this issue? Also, are the pedals adjustable? This was the first car that really made me feel, "FINALLY ! This is the one!" So, you can imagine my disappointment when the tip of my long dorky foot kept hitting the dashboard. I'm pretty upset by this.

The pedal box is not adjustable on a C30.

The problem you have is because of the size of your feet and is nothing to do with the car.

It's a safety issue - you have to feel comfortable when driving.

Time to move on.

I hear you! My V50 is the same, but at least my size 12 feet can squeeze in, and with the auto, I don't need to do any fancy footwork.

Michael Hallock

Michael who blogs for FCP, himself or in conjunction with someone else using a 3D Printer made a block / shim to go under the gas pedal so it is easier to heel to toe. They also in another forum show you the block besides an alternative way with washers as spacers to raise the height of the gas pedal. As always you do this at your own discretion and risk. The consensuses however is an improvement to the dilemma of the foot hitting the brake pedal and seating position.
