OEM or Aftermarket Strut Brace ?
I have found a pretty big price discrepancy between the OEM bar at FCP euro for $65 and the Viva Ultra Racing brace for $155.00. I have read the OEM bar is a light tube and the aftermarket braces are flatter and beefier to resist twisting. I am not planning on lowering the car or changing the stock struts. I am looking to reduce cowl shake. So do I need to spend the extra or will the OEM be good enough?
Anyone have any experience with these?
Thanks.

The amount of improvent is so little with either unless you change the suspension to racing , Have tried it in many Alfas , but I am not a Pro racing driver , but looks nice , modern cars are much more rigid that 20 years ago , Manufactures would do this as its cheap if there was an improvement, People see it in racing cars and the aftermarket jump at it , but you dont want to drive a racing car on bad roads it will shake you to death , The suspention on road cars is made to give a bit when you hit a bump etc on the road , if you only put a top strut brace the other parts will move so in my opinion 0 gain
