I just bought a car that I have been looking for for a while. It is a 2013 C-30 R Design Platinum package Polestar upgrade, or at least it has a Polestar badge on the back. Is there a way to tell if I have the Polestar upgrade without going to a dealer? I saw something somewhere about a Polestar Black edition. Mine is Platinum Black Pearl.
Check the interior for more polestar badging. Depending on the year there should be a limited edition badge in the center console. You can also look under the hood and see how lame it looks lol. I would look for more polestar branding in the vehicle. More than likely if it looks legit someone didn't try to fake it. Anyone can put a Polestar badge on the back of their vehicle. Just check the trim package and badging for legit. If he's a Volvo owner he's more than likely honesty with his word. I hope you figure it out
That is for the limited edition Polestar of which there were only 250 made. There were other upgrades besides the ECM reprogramming. After much further investigation I found that mine, like many, have the Polestar upgrade which is dealer installed. For that you only get a badge on the back and of course an ECM reprogramming. So, I’m happy to know that I do indeed have the upgrade and not just a badge.
The dealer I bought it from a few weeks ago did not mention the Polestar upgrade just that it was a T5, R Design, Platinum package. I was happy to see the badge. Of course I didn’t mention it during the sale.
