Is anyone else having rodents nesting in engine compartment?

 

All the time, particularly in the winter when they are drawn to the residual heat. chipmunks or mice love to leave acorns between my hood and the insulation pad... and I keep our cars garaged. One time I had to pull a nest out of the cabin air filter for my wife's Highlander too! So we now keep traps with peanut butter around the garage. Best to look around for droppings in the crevices atop the engine for evidence and check within the cabin as well, then check for any wiring damage (they love to gnaw on wire insulation).
