Default 1 of 603?

Anyone good with production figures here? I was just reading up on the C70s on Wiki which says ... 'Of the 72,000 first generation C70s produced worldwide only 603 had the 2.3 liter engine with high pressure turbo (T5) and the M56 5-speed manual transmission.' (Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_C70 )

Our 2000 C70 convertible is one of these T5Ms. Is this figure really correct? If it's true we really have a rare car on our hands. Thank you for any feedbacks!

Dunno about how accurate that stat is - but I did a quick search and found six gen 1 C70s with the 2.3 HT and a manual transmission on Autotrader. I don't think the car used the T5 badge for its engine.

Thanks for the reply MT. Last night I also did some more research and also found this number incorrect. First, the source these numbers are referring to is different. Here is what the actual source says:

USA:
....
C70:
Coupes: 135 T5M across 98-02 / 603 worldwide
Verts: ?

So the number refers to cars produced between 98 and 02 and only the coupes, not the entire production and not all C70s. I reported it to Wiki, hopefully they'll correct it.

However I came across this page on a Volvo owner's club which has some good production stats: https://www.volvoclub.org.uk/history/production.shtml
