Default 2001 C70 Convertible Amplifier

HI,

Can anyone tell me where to find the amplifier in my 2001 C70 Convertible?

I read a post somehwhere sayings its behind the carpet in the boot, but I can;t find it anywhere!

I want to check the fuses in it as I've lost all bass from my SC-901, the bottom 2 door speakers are not working at all and its driving me crazy!

Default C70 Convertible Amplifier

Thanks, I've found it now.

Am a bit confused, I pulled the fuses to check that they were OK as all the bass speakers have stopped working. Fuses were fine, put them back in and found that the two subs behind the rear seats have started working again, but the bass speakers in both front doors still not working.

I've bought another amp off ebay which I'm going to swap over tonight which I'm hoping will fix the problem.

Has anyone got any ideas / suggestions as to what else the problem could be, I'm hoping its not the head unit.

Well, if the new amp doesn't solve the problem, I've also got one for that car you can try. Shoot me a PM if the ebay doesn't work out.

Did you try the speaker connections themselves?

Well, I swapped the amp over and I still have the same problem, all the speakers are working expect for the two bass speakers in the bottom of the front doors, this is driving me nuts now, it sounds so tinny.

I guess the next thing for me to try is to take the door panel off and test the speakers themselves?

Anyone got any ideas? Could it be the head unit? I'm thinking not, as when i unplugged the amp from the stereo and switched the stereo back on, there ws no sound at all, so I assume that all speakers are driven by the amp.
