2002 C70 trans swap

My 2002 C70 has the usual auto trans problems of flaring, hard shifts at suburban speeds. I can get 2008 C70 trans for a good price. Will it fit? Is it better than the 2002? Any comments?
I expect it would bolt on OK but is it improved from the earlier one? Would the trans computer be happy?
