I would like to update the sc901 dolby surround in my c70 conv to an contemporary aftermarket unit.
Does anyone have any recommendations ?

Id like a extenal mic for iphone telephony and attach the iphone from behind the HU and run the cable through the center speacker to the console.

any recommendations to units that fit and provide the best sound to all 9 speakers ? I spoke to some car audio mechs and they said they could only connect 4 speakers.

pretty muvh any brand offers a model with bluetooth, just need to make a choice. You can hook up all the speakers if you find a better installer or do it yourself. Plenty of DIY posts on a radio install.
