2006 C70 MP3 hardwire solution

I've had my '06 C70 to a couple of places and am told that it cannot be hardwired for an MP3 player. I have a hard time believing this.

I do not have an iPod, I have a Zune. I know Volvo makes a hardwired solution for an iPod with a dock for the 2006 model, so I assume this means that the car is wired for it.

Has anyone successfully hardwired anything other than an iPod? I don't want to stick a wireless FM modulator in the trunk because they sound like crap and I don't want to deal with searching for clear channels.

My dealer and a couple of other places have told me that there is no way to hardwire an iPod to my 2006 C70.. What dock are you talking about?
