Default 2006 C70 T5 Cabn Filter

We just bought a 2006 C70 T5, Where is the Cabin Filter and how I change it?

you need to remove the gas pedal there are 3 10mm screws holding it on then there are 3 7mm screws holding the filter cover on. it is on the right side of the pedal.

damn! thats retarded! why would volvo put it there? what if you strip the bolt holes out? i would convery that gas pedal bolts to studs just for that.

the c70 v50 c30 and new s40 are all on the same platform and are called P1 cars. ford wanted to put a 4 cyl engine in there but volvo said no. so the normal design air box would not work. they had to use one off of some other car and they picked one from a righthand drive car. thus the crappy design.

I work at a volvo dealership and do 3-4 a week and they really do suck. the gas pedal is held on by studs and sometimes the weld on the back of the stud brakes and you need to pull out the brake pedal to get the gas pedal out.
