I have a 2013 C70 that the steering seems to bind. This has been happening when the car is either cold or has not be driven. We had our Volvo dealer look and they fixed a bunch of things for almost three thousand dollars. Took out the car today and the problem is still there.

 

Steering rack is going out most likely...

 

I had a similar problem.
it was fine at tdc, but if you turned left, it would present a lot of difficulty on turn in.
I flushed the fluid a few times.
Added a filter.
It never fixed it.

I replaced the rack.
