I'm in the market for a 2013 C70 T5 - but - I'd like to get a feeling for how hard it will be for me to remove the factory sound system and put in a new headunit that supports ApplePlay. So I'm looking for a combination of recommendations on units themselves, and any guidance on how difficult the task will be. I've searched the web but can't find any YouTube videos that deal with the later model C70s specifically. I've done some upgrades in the past, but am certainly not an expert. I've had situations where trying to get access you had to practically take the entire dash apart (a disaster) and others where it was fairly straight-forward (like a 2009 Sonata).

Due to the way Volvo configured their stereo systems, upgrades are extremely rare. The only company I've seen so far who offers an upgraded stereo is called Bluepower. From what I understand the stuff comes from Europe and so you'll have something of a wait and the prices are quite high. Good luck!

 

I have a 2012 C70 Inscription and the sound system is awesome. Bluetooth works great or you can connect via Lightning cable to the USB port in the armrest. No need to put in a new system. I also have SiriusXM which supports Apple Carplay.
