Hello everybody. I'm having a problem with my 99 C70. My in dash changer is stuck with the tray out. I was able to get the cartridge out but one of the CD's is still in the unit. Is there a way to force the tray to cycle?

Do you have the radio code?
If so unplug the radio and leave it out for a few minutes.
Then plug it back in and it should cycle.

Hi, I actually had a similar problem. I put 3 CDs in the changer, one of them stayed in when taking the magazine out.
To resolve, I put the empty magazine back in. When loading the magazine, the CD changer placed the other CD back in the magazine.
To get the stuck out tray back in: there is a spring clip underneath the magazineon the driver-side. You need to press the clip towards the outside and the magazine will release to take out.
When you press the eject button, the tray will drive into the CD changer.

How much do you need to press the clip, I tried and the magazine still does not come out. I dont want to out too much force into it and break it.
I managed to move the cartridge back and catching the cd and then back out, im pretty sure theres 2 cds in one slot

 

I disassemabled the radio and cd player and operated the gear wheels manually that released the cd cassette. Reassemabled and has worked fine ever since.

 

Did too.. Figured it out and even the cd player is back 100%
