98 C70 Surround Sound Speakers...
Hey you guys, im new to the forum and to the C70 club. I bought my C70 about a week ago and I absolutely love it. It is one quick car and the fact that it's a coupe makes it more pleasureable. Ok, now to my question.... I want to replace my speakers and install two 12 inch JL subs, but i can't figure out the size of the speakers in the front and back.... Can someone help me out?? I know that some are 6 X 9 and i heard that one of them were like 10 inch spkrs.... Thanks
The front doors are either 8 inch round or 10 inch rounds.
The rear hatshelf(back window) are either 6 inch rounds or 8 inch rounds.
I forget exactly but it is close to that.

I am currently dealing with the speakers in my 99 C70 coupe. First I can tell you to be prepared to literally remove every panel inside this car especially the rear deck. The rear deck is two 8" in woofer with a 2" tweeter, the amp is under the rear deck as well. The doors are a 4" midrange and an 8" woofer. the dash is two 2" (I am not sure) tweeters? My C70 had surround sound I can't recall what size it was I am still considering what I'll do with the hole in the dash, maybe a reverse monitor. My current concern is whether the system is 8ohm or 4ohm only to determine whether to replace the amp as well. I intend to update the system with a digital media receiver which will fit right in the dash (a bit low) I do hope this helps some.
