Default Anyone know what this part is?

I own a Volvo c70 convertible 1999. Recently, my check engine light went on and I took it to a volvo dealership where they told me that the problem was my "cam reset valve."

However, online, I can't find a part for my car (or any volvo for that matter) that matches this name.

That said, I did find a few sites that seemed to suggest that what I may need can be called an exhaust Cam Adjustment Actuator Solenoid CVVT, a Cam Adjust Solenoid Valve CVVT, and/or a cvvt solenoid.

Does anyone know ... are all of the above, the same part???

In a similar vein, I keep hearing that the nexus of the problem may be that there is a bunch of sludge in my system ... would replacing the camshaft reset valve be enough or should I also remove sludge (is that even possible; if so, how hard is it to do? Should I buy all new lines?)

I too would like an answer to this since I am having a similar issue with sludge and that particular code popping up. Why has no one answered this yet?

Likely because we don't know the answer. However, if you or someone can post the specific ECU P code, maybe we can go from there.
