Default Anyone switch out bulbs for LEDs?

Hi all,
Looking to find out what experiences people have using LED bulb replacements on the C70. I have a 2006 and had a few things in mind.

I seen a writeup on Matthew's site. Seemed pretty involved to me because of the volts. Most of our bulb volts are 12v to 14v, most led's that put out simular output are 3v.

I was thinking of the interior bulbs, parking light, license plate, etc... not so much about the dash and electronics. I saw a post about LED conversion for S40 and V50 but said it SHOULD apply to C30 and the P1 C70. I just figured someone has already done this. I was hoping for more than SHOULD. ;-)

Default LED License Plate Bulbs

I started simple and added some 36mm festoon 6 SMD LEDs to the license plate. Below is the new bulb in the socket. Just make sure to point the light source down... I know it seems obvious.

Here's the difference with both bulbs. Could be just me, but the LED is killing it.

Finally, the finished product.

This was easy and provided a nice clean (and bright look) IMO and was only $8.95 shipped total.

What the heck, I'm trying to hide my license plate not turn it into a beacon. LOL
