Hey guys, and or ladies
I'm buying an after market Bosch battery for my 2002 C70, the stock battery seems to slide into the battery bracket, do I need to buy new brackets etc. ?

Do you mean that the battery slides aroundin the bracket? If yes, then I would look at replacing it, or Fixing it.

 

You need a 47 series battery. There is a clip that locks onto the edge of the battery tray that holds the battery still.

 

It doesn't slide, it has the original battery and bracket and sits tight. The problem I see is the original battery $350.00 has some sort of hard plastic ***** on the bottom and you set them in slots located on the original bracket and pull the battery to the side, this locks the battery into the bracket. A small hard plastics clamp then clamps the battery from the bottom flanges to the bracket also. I'm afraid the new Bosch won't have the bottom ***** or flanges. Hard to discribe?

Most batteries should have those lips so to say on the bottom of the battery.
