Default Battery Upgrade 09 C70? AGM?

I maybe due for a battery replacement at my 09 Volvo C70. Volvo OEM battery is similar to one at my dad's car like almost 40 years ago :-). My BMW motorcycle came with a Gell battery and I later upgraded to an AGM Oddysey battery. One reason why I want to upgrade the battery to AGM is that I drive my C70 only once or twice a week. It seems that AGM batteries hold charge better for longer time.

I run Oddysey batteries in all my vehicles. Can't beat there CCAs. Any battery shop can cross-ref your vehicle & give you the selection, as well as auto parts stores. Living in snow country for 20 yrs always buy highest CCAs. Paid $339 for Oddysey battery in my F150 3 yrs ago, never a problem! 60 below or 130 above.

I like Odyssey batteries as well. I use them at my motorcycle. There is no exact fit from the Odyssey line of batteries to 09 Volvo C70. The best fit is Deka AGM Batteries. Group 48 for mine.

I used to buy expensive batteries but now I don't think it worth it. Why I have pay more than double the price if that can't double the life? Now I just replace the battery every couple of years and never wait until it dies. If it failes within couple of years (never happened to me) due to cold, save it for next summer and buy a new one!
