Newbie here...I got a 2001 c70 hpt...I've been wanting to get some rims and lower my car for quite sometime now. I'm thinking of going with 19's...The question is, how much can i lower my car without it rubbing, or looking too low? Anybody know? Not too sure on what i should purchase either...Would i need Springs, shocks and struts, etc...?

 

Well to lower the car you usually need springs unless you do an airboag suspension.

As far as lowering goes have you done any of your own research into what is available out there for you? I know your new to the forums and all but searching before posting is something all new people need to do. I'm sorry to sound rude. Anyways...

You don't need to do shocks/struts to lower your car. You can if you like and if your going to do that you might as well just do a whole suspension upgrade while your at it. Springs, Shocks/Struts, Sway Bars, Sway Bar endlinks...

I pretty much want to have my car look like that guy on cardomain but with different rims. I've seen all the springs that are available. I noticed that guy lowered his car about 1.5 in and rolled back the fenders to accomodate the 19's. A buddy of mine knows this guy so hopefully i'll get a chance to meet him.
