Default C70 strut brace

Hi, I am new to this post although I have read many because I also own an 850, I value everyones expertise and appreciate your opinions. My question is I'm looking to get a strut brace and if there are any you would or would not recommend. Does Volvo still offer there own?

Thanks again. Kevin

They do, but pricing new will be ~$200. OBX version 2 strut braces will cost you ~$50 and many seem to like it. I had considered one considering the price point. EST has also introduced a carbon fiber version for ~$200 that you may want to consider.

Over the years I have installed aftermarket strut bars on several of my autos to include my old c70. As I sit here in a N.J. hotel room I do not recall the brand that I purchased for the c70 other than it was manufactured in Canada. It does improve the structual rigidity of the c70. As an aside, I purchased a 2002 Mazda Proto V in 02 and was impressed that it came from the factory with a strut bar. My 2006 MX-V interestingly did not come with one............odd!

Canada? Most likely EuroSportTuning

The best if you can find it is made by OMP. It may say it is made for the 850, but it should fit your c70.

Don't cheap out, you do and the product is crappy.

What year is the c70 by the way?

Typically I would agree with "you get what you pay for", but for $49 the OBX version 2 looks pretty nice from pictures fellow Volvo owners have posted. Even used I payed $125 for my OEM brace.

You are correct S70, Eurosport was the company. I am pleased with their product and it is on par with the best that the Germans manufacture. Those c70 buyers of the old models such as mine (2002) should also look at the upper motor mount as they do wear out and need replacement with either urethane (quite stiff) or the original Volvo product. Some owners who are just purchasing these old Volvos mistake the 'shake' in their auto as being a loose front end whereas it is quite frequently the upper mount.
