c70 T6 Manual - Rare - but valueable?
Just looking for some feedback. I picked up a 1999 C70 convertible T5 - 2.3L 5spd last year. I would put the car at average condition or slightly above. I'm aware of the market value of an average 1999 C70 convertible, but what additional value would the T5 bring? I can't nail down a production number, but I believe there were only a few hundred brought into the U.S. Mine is red, which I believe is also hard to find.
I had a lot of fun over the past year with this car, but I'm thinking of moving on to somethings else. But if all I can hope for is the market value of a base C70, then I might just hold onto it.
What is a reasonable premium for a 99 C70 T5?

I don't think you should expect a premium for the MT vs Auto - the manufacturing count usually reflects the market demand. Where you do get some benefits is MT's attract an enthusiast crowd - people who'd appreciate a clean car/well cared for etc, but at the end of the day the KBB book value is still in the 1500-2500 range so there's not a huge premium on drive train.

I will likely keep it. I bought it last year on the premise that I wouldn't put any more money into it than I could get back out, and I'm around that point. There are still a few gremlins I need to deal with, but its been fun so far. The only reason I"m toying with selling is that I found a 2004 in showroom condition and low miles; but the price isn't where it needs to be for me to jump.
If I can get my car to the point where it is reliable and I can add a few hp for not much money, I can see keeping it around a while.
Thanks for the feedback.
